In constructing the houses at The Links at Renaissance, N2Ferntown has been mindful of the need to reduce energy costs and to limit carbon emissions. All houses at The Links at Renaissance will utilise a green geothermal heating system with ground source heat pumps which significantly reduces energy costs and CO2 emissions.

 

A geothermal heat pump is a heat pump that uses the Earth as either a heat source, when operating in heating mode, or a heat sink, when operating in cooling mode. Heat pumps transfer heat from the ground into the house to provide heating and to pre-heat domestic hot water. A ground source heat pump can save between £300 to £1000 on heating bills and between 2 to 7.5 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year.
